The Dreaming Festival

The 2008 Dreaming Festival will be held over the June long-weekend, (June 6th-9th) at Woodford, in south-east Queensland.

"The Dreaming" is one of Australias best known International Indigenous Festivals, and is now in its fourth year. In what promises to be a jam-packed program, the annual festival will wow its audience with a showcase of performers, entertainers, black comedians and speakers. Celebrating Indigenous cultures from around the world - singers from the Pacific will perform alongside native American healers.

Garma Festival

Garma is an intimate, spectacular celebration of cultural traditions and practices dance, song, music, and art as well as presentations, collaborations and sales. It is the venue for a leading Key Forum on Indigenous issues in 2008 focussing on Indigenous Knowledge. Sharing of knowledge and real cultural interaction occurs amidst a unique line-up of entertainment.
